spring picnic and ice cream social

Hey Maggie, we've had pot lucks in the past and were able to have a DJ there with fun dances for the kids along with some outdoor games. The DJ was a hit and best of all a parent that asked for us to advertise/promote his company in exchange! That fit our budget!

Sounds like a fun day!

I think that is a great idea! I was thinking of doing something like that nest year. I really like the softball idea. you can also do sack races, free throw contest, kid/parent calling contest. If you have a playground with physical fitness things do a mini course and the best time wins like chin-ups, monkey bars, going across a balancing beams carry eggs in each hand. Volley ball. You can do the teams different ways kids versus adults or staff against kids and parents. Also kids like to see people in dunk tanks and alot of them don't mind being in them either. Good Luck!

Hi guys, we are doing a spring picnic (families bring food) and then ice cream social (we provide the ice cream). We would like to have games or something for the kids to do while the parents chat, eat, etc. What kind of games would you all suggest? (we were thinking maybe soft ball, tug of war.....) Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, maggie
