Kid incentives for fundraising are PROHIBITED, looking for challenges

Can you allow "privileges" instead of prizes? Of course the old standbys are the principal or teachers doing something silly. If the school reaches a certain goal, the principal dyes her hair pink, the top selling class gets to pick WHICH of 3 teachers kisses a pig, etc.

Depending on what you are allowed to do, the top child or class may have a hand in the activity (top 3 kids get help dye the hair). But the end result is for the entertainment of all. Of course you can always just do it at school level with activities at milestone amounts.

Can you tie the sales to results?
If the fundraiser reaches X, we can buy ABC for the school, if it reaches Y, we can get EFG, etc.? Just knowing how the school will benefit may show tangible results (even if it's not ALL the money, but maybe a variable about like 10% is dedicated in some way like this).

Also, can you "celebrate" the results? Sometimes it's all in the wording.

Hi everyone. We are doing a walk-a-thon with an Olympic theme in mid October. Our county strictly forbids “incentivizing” kids to sell or raise money for school. No prizes at the kid level or even at the class level. For the walk I am now motivating parents to sponsor more by offering a discount card to anyone who sponsor's over a certain threshold (the card is great). I think I can do stuff to motivate kids with what my principal calls "a bit of healthy competition". So I am looking for ideas that fall into that category. More than the classroom thermometer. Perhaps there are some fun loving crazy teachers out there who do stuff at your school to motivate kids. Post away... and thanks! I’d offer a prize for the best idea…. But I don’t think I’m allowed to.
