just thought of something else, the clues could culminate with the author visit and they could read the portion of their book where the mystery is solved.

haven't done one of these but it sounds like a great idea. there was a post awhile back about a dinner where several people dressed up as an historic figure and then people had to guess who they were. could do something like that or dress as your favorite mystery character or even one of those dinner murder mystery games. or dress as the characters in the authors book. what if the kids were given clues to solve some mystery during the month, maybe based on the author's story? just some thoughts. good luck, can't wait to see what everyone else's ideas are.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone had ever done a mystery theme for this? We got one of those author visit things in the mail and this one happens to be a mystery writer which I think would be kind of cool, the question is, how can I tie it all in? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... thanks, maggie
