Why in the world would ANY group of parents think this is a good idea........ESPECIALLY a group that is to HELP kids. That is a horrible horrible idea. I think if I was in your shoes I'd be so upset I'd be having a word with that PTO.....definately do what Lynn said. I would get that group and let them know clearly this is horrible idea

Why is the principal allowing this??

I'm sure that your not the only parent upset by this. The idea makes me sick. I would go to the PTO and tell them how you feel, but first get parents to sign a protest. I hope they don't go through with it.

I have never heard of this. It sure seems over the line to me.

My daughter’s school is having a Calendar girl contest to raise money for the PTO! Maybe I’m out of touch but as a father I can not believe that with today’s forward thinking that this is appropriate.

The girls will be judged on poise, appearance, projected personality as well as beauty and attire. What a load of garbage! Many teenage girls already suffer from low self esteem due to the way America has idolized near skeletal girls and women. Do we really need to be selling these types of calendars to pubescent boys. Granted the pictures may me clean, but this is where sexual harassment will obviously be taught to today’s young men.

Is this what the PTO stands for? This shows a sever lack of understanding with a problem many young girls face today called self image.
