Pancake Breakfast

We had Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, and because of the timing (Sat. during soccer season) It was a ok event. What we did was purchase the already made pancakes and served them to the children (easier and kids do not care) Then we asked for pancake mix and syrup to be donated from the parents. A couple of the dads cooked them on the plate under the steam table in the cafeteria kitchen. It was really quit easy. By the way we had pre cooked sausage and warmed it in steam oven. Note** no one seemed to noticed the when we served the kids out of one pan and the adults out of another. Good luck! :D

We had "breakfast with Santa", serving Pancakes. We had the men make them, serve them etc. Why dont you have the moms make and serve them. Have your board members bring in their griddles and buy the mix and serve up. IT will be a lot cheaper.

Good luck!

"Favorite Man Breakfast"

I have always wanted to have a "Bring your Favorite Man to Breakfast" at our school, but am running out of time. It would be an effort to encourage the men in our children's lives to become more familiar with their elementary school environment.

Have the students invite a favorite Man (for those who don't have fathers, it can be a grandpa, uncle, family friend). Have raffles for "manly" prizes. tools, race cars, tickets to sports events. Have it in the spring before school is out.. as father's day is in June and school is usually out by then.

We have a local pancake caterer that does fundraisers. They have the automated griddle, with the syrup. You supply the plates, etc.

Prices vary as to how many you want to serve.

Check in your area under caterers, or call some local associations (Lions Club, Jaycees) to see if they know of a place that caters pancakes.

Good luck!

Would love to get some information from anyone that has run a Pancake breakfast. We are considering this as a new event for our school and have no idea how to get started. How did you price it? Did you cook everything ahead of time? Was is successful and profitable? Worth the effort? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!
