We are registered for a couple of cartridge companies because initially it seemed that InkBank paid much better for the expensive cartridges, but it turns out that Kash for Kids will match the refund from any other company (you have to send the info to kash for kids) as long as they take that particular cartridge. We haven't made a lot of money on it yet, but it is easy.
We have recycled ink cartridges for the first time last year, our school is K-8, with about 1500 students. Let me tell you, if you can find someone who is willing to donate from a local business in your area, the laser ink cartridges would be worth the while, we raised $900.00 in recycling. Alot of parents actually sent in their used cartridges from home, and a few parents took the old cartridges from their workplace. Its a little time consuming to box them up, however in the long run its pretty worth the while. Check out the web site www.kashforkids.com. Good Luck!!

Thanks for all the great advice. I've compared funding factory to kash for kids and kash for kids seems to pay about twice as much. Assuming there are no hidden cost. We are trying to get the school board to match funds but with all the cut backs we don't know if that will happen. Most of the schools around here updated a few years ago and at that time they were able to get matching funds but alot has changed since then. The insurance company that was mentioned I have never heard of. As far as Walmart goes, all we've ever been able to get out of them is $25. That reminds me mykidsmom! We had a Wal-Mart to match our change drive to $800.00. Of course it helped that a mom of a student was the manager of this Wal-Mart.
Our school board rarely matches anything. But sometimes Modern Woodmen of America insurance will. I don't know if they are national or if they are just around here, but I am sure they are not the only ones that will match.
Many moons ago when I was in school we had a fun walk/run that we did to raise money for new equipment. I do remember we were even able to get the businesses in our small town to sponsor advertising for t-shirts and really donations toward the project.
Would it be worth seeing if the school will match funds (for every $10000 or so you raise they match it)?? Just a thought.
