We have 177 students at our school and we just did Joe Corbis Pizza and cookie dough. We raised 3,600 dollars plus. It was EASY and very profitable.

What is Chick-Fil-A night? We have 2 of those in the next town over. Sounds yummy!

I wasn't sure if it was acceptable to say what kind of fundraisers we have done, but I see other people are naming names so I will.

We do Sally Foster, Box Top, Script, and a chick-fil a night. All do okay, but I am trying to convince the President to try something other than what all the other schools are doing around here. I'll let you know if I convince her and how it goes.

Our school has about 350 students and we also do the Boxtops for Books and Cartridges for Cash recycling. Another FUN and easy way to generate funds is to have a "Candy Lady" (or Man). Each Friday afternoon we set up the Candy Cart and start selling. We price the candy anywhere from .05 to .50 and boy you would not believe the response. This is something easy for Moms and Dads and it makes the kids so happy. We seem to be earning about $130 a week. I send my kid with .50 each Friday but I have worked the Candy Cart and some of the kids bring as much as $5.00 every week. Just think about it...this should be almost 5k by the end of the year. It's something to consider. :D

Our school is preschool-6th, with about 185 kids, maybe 140 families. So we are about twice as big as yours. Because it is heavily weighted to preschool through K, we can't really have any sales that target kid prizes, etc, plus our admin is philosophically opposed to that. We also can't do Santa/Christmas thing because we are very multiethnic/international.

We do a wrapping paper (Innisbrook) that made $4000 last year. We do the Scholastic book fair, which does great, with either a couple thousand in cash profits (or more if we take Scholastic credit).

We do Box Tops and Cartridge Recycling, both of which don't cost anyone anything, and which make a couple hundred dollars each year.

We also sell little things at a School Spirit Store a few times a year. It is all stuff from Oriental Trading Company (cute pencils, erasers, novelty notebooks, pencil grips, etc.). They are all cheap, and we can mark them up. For example, you can get these cute neon erasers that look like flip-flop sandals - 144 erasers for $3.95. So they cost you 3 cents each, you can sell them for 5. There are little notepads with cute covers that are 24 for $4.95. You get the idea.

We also sell school t-shirts and sweatshirts, which are not expensive if you shop around and you can get tote bags, etc. as well for parents or grandparents. We have samples and then do one big order in the fall.

Our big fundraiser is an auction of art items made by the classes, combined with either additional auction stuff, a Monte Carlo night, or a carnival. But I don't know that any really big fundraiser makes sense for a school your size.

Our school has about 250 students. We have a Math-a-thon each fall that raises about $2000. Similar to a jump-a-thon only students get parents, family & friends (no door-to-door sales)to make pledges or donate a flat amount for each correct answer out of 100 problems that they get correct. Example: pledge of 10 cents per problem correct-Student gets 95 problems correct, they collect $9.50 from that sponsor.

We have a grand prize that we give for the student in the school who collects the most money. Usually a math related item. Everyone else gets some kind of treat in appreciation for their help from PTO. This year will be our 3rd year.
