It looks like the Ronald McDonald's is just for New York. Does anyone know if they go else where?

We love reading day at our elementary school!

The last week of February is dedicated to Dr. Suess and we do fun stuff to celebrate such as;
pajama day, hat day, inside out day, crazy sock day.

In December we have a Christmas Story reading day, and in the future I am hoping we can have different author days, such as Paulette Bourgois Day.(she's my favorite). Our kindergarten classes have an "Author of the Week" every week.

On occasion a few students from our local high school come over and share books with our students, they are usually English students or belong to a specific club such as the Literary Club.

Basically, ROnald McDonald comes to your school and puts on a 30 minute Reading Assembly for free!
This particular assembly is appropriate for third grade and under. He brings everything, including his own sound system. Here's the web site

Last year, we had Ronald at our school for an assembly titled, "Character Counts" and it was really good. Anyway check out the website.
