The funnel cakes are pretty easy, I've seen 'em done in the little plug in pans, just have to get the oil hot enough and practice the art of drizzling the batter.

I would love to sell funnel cakes at one of our function. But I've never made them. I hear they are pretty easy to make. The ladies of the DAV did this at a county event and did very well.

For our county for exhibits flower arrangements are a big thing to do as well as hand sewn items. Perhaps you could "sell" lessons to do this if you need something extra. Sounds like you are pretty full. Hope you have alot of help.

How about cotton candy? If you don't have your own machine they are pretty cheap to rent. I lived for fair time so I could have cotton candy when I was little. OK, I still do. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

It seems kind of dorky, but this is a favorite with our younger children.

Sleeping Giant

There is a giant and his wife in a "home". Giant is sleeping right next to his treasure. Wife helps child come in and take some of the treasure. Giant sometimes sleeps through, sometimes wakes up and chases child...catching him or not.

I would like your opinion/ideas. We just held our 1st carnival committee meeting for the year. We decided to do a County Fair theme this spring.

Here are some of the ideas we came up with. Let me know if you can think of something else or to tweak one of ours! (Remember, we're located in a metropolitan area--suburb of Las Vegas)
