Fannie May Candies/alpine confections

Alpine Confections is the name of the company that bought Fannie May, and it is a reputable company (they're also the people who produce Harry London chocolates, for those of you familiar with them). I can't say that I'm a big Fannie May fan to begin with, and I also don't know how they handle their fundraising stuff. It's possible that the fundraising program was shut down for awhile and Alpine is just now in the early stages of launching it again, so it's very small--that's one possible explanation for you.

We've never sold chocolate as a separate fundraiser, but the first name that came to mind when reading your post was See's. I know they do a lot of fundraising business.

And now that I have See's on the brain, I must sign off and find some chocolate....there must be some hidden somewhere in the house.....

How can you hear with all the little bells going off in your head? I'm only reading your post and the bells are going off! If you have to work that hard to get an address and information on a company, no matter the 'brand' name, all I can say is Don't Do It! If you like the idea of chocolate as a fundraiser, try See's or some other company that lists their address, phone, rep, etc. on their advertisements... There are lots out there...

interesting....I know that the Fanny May Company went bankrupt and closed all of their stores. i thought another candy company bought them, however..not 100% sure on that.

We received a letter today in the mail from the company who bought "Fannie May Candies". It was totally generic and the 800 number that I called to get more info was a home/business phone. There is no address anywhere, the return address just says "Fannie May Candy" with no address.

I know that this could be a HUGE profitable fundraiser around Easter-time, however, I'm a little unsure it's a legit company?

Anyway had any experience with this company??
