JeanLou, call PuttForFunds (you'll have to get the phone # from their website (puttforfunds.com) and ask for Greg. They help with regular (golf course) tournaments but specialize in putt-putt golf tourmaments where they ship putting greens to the school and each class decorates a hole. They create and print custom donor letters and schools are raising tens of thousands through the mailings as well as getting corp hole sponsors, public admission, etc. The schools keep 65% of the total profits. They have great training and info on the website. We're doing one here in our town for the fall and everyone is pretty excited to not be "selling" something.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

I am heading the golf tournament this year for the first time this year, and it seems that my school could really benefit from some new, innovative ideas. If anyone has any, please let me know. Also, is it better to mail letters to the corporate parts of companies for donations or should I go in person?
