Matching Funds Grants

Walmart will sometimes match fundraising dollars earned on certain events. Typically, you need to have an employee involved in the activity to be eligible. They also have a program called "Volunteerism Always Pays"... if a Walmart employee volunteers 15 hours or more in a 6 month period for your organization, then they will award your group $250.
Hope this helps a little!

Does anyone have any information on how to go about applying for "matching funds grants" to have a company or gov. agency match money we raise in a fundraiser? Also- does anyone have any info on if there are grants out there that will match "funds" for volunteer hours. I did an internship in the non-profit sector, and we had to turn our volunteer hours in b/c they were used for a matching grant... something like $6./hr for each volunteer hour by a non-college-grad.

Thank you for any info you have. I haven't done fundraising before on this scale and am hoping I can come up with some extra ways to raise $ for our PTO!
