To answer your question, Scrip is a great way for your school to earn money. We have been selling it for 4 years now and we don't have 100% participation from our families, but if you can get it and sell the idea to your parents, you should be able to make a lot of profit. The Scrip program has so many different programs for you to use that there should be something for everyone. Right now there are over 300 nationwide businesses that allow you to use Scrip ( which is a fancy way of saying gift certificates which is what Scrip is.) A full list of businesses are available and they break it down into categories ( gas, groceries, and retail). The gift certificates come in different amounts and all with different percentages. The percentages you get from each business is your profit. I can understand about bounced checks but we haven't had one yet. These cards can be used for online purchases and catalogs and in some cases charge cards. I would be more than happy to walk you through it and give anyone info. on the program and there upcoming new programs. If you can get your parents in this fundraiser right away, your school can profit in a very short amount of time. We only have 10 families that participate at our school ( at least til christmas time and then we usually make a $500.00 profit that month)and we generate $2000.00 profit for the year. Scrip has wonderful ideas and materials to help you start up this program and I think it is well worth the effort. I wish our families used it more but if we got everything we wanted in life, we would have nothing for us to look forward to.

Hi Guys, Our Parents group is looking into selling script, I do not know much about it but a friend says her PTO makes good $$$ from it they sell grocery, old navy, starbucks etc...
Since I don't really know much about script, how to sell, what it is etc... I came here to the experts!! Dose anyone sell script, when, what stores, how much etc...
Our treasurer is afraid people will get the script (say $200 for a grocery store) and then bounce us the check.
