Hi. I started doing our scrip program this year. We use Great Lakes scrip and have had no problems. We have a core group of about 10-15 people who order on a regular basis. We have many that order at the holidays. I have sent many flyers and information home throughout the year (I recently sent one promoting Easter and Honeybaked Ham certificates I got two new orders :-( ) I just cannot seem to get more people on board to use this program on a regular basis. I wish I could give you some magic on how to get people to participate. The Great Lakes website has an area of promotional flyers to print that I started the year with. To the school staff we give them back 5% of the profit they help bring in. We give it in the form of scrip of items for their classroom, but that doesn't send a flood of orders. In my opinion for a really successful scrip program you have to get your parents to think in terms of having certificates around and sort of plan their purchases. As for my family we keep a pretty good supply of restaurant scrip at home to use when we go out. I apologize I sort of rambled this response. Let me know if I can offer you any suggestions.

I am new to doing fundraisers and was asked to try to runn a scrip program. I would like to know what I am in for? I do understand the program but would like to know how to get others like me excited in the fundraiser. We livwe in a town that has a lot of the vendors and a town close to us has a lot more but what will help make scrip work for us. Please send me as much info as possible. Thanks SAM
