Our school tried this fundraiser for the first time this past spring. It was a tremendous success and people can't wait for another one. We have about 800 students and made a profit of a little over $12,000 in a two week sale. We are planning on doing one in the fall and one in the spring next year. I don't remember the profit per bucket. The biggest problem we dealt with was the fact that some parents did not pick up their cookie dough on the specified date and we had to store it for them. Next year we will likely be tougher on penalties for missing the pickup date. Not sure what that will be, but something will need to be done!

Our school has done Otis Spunkmeyer for seveal years and the name definitely does sell itself. We are switching to a new provider this year, simply because the prices keep going up and they fill the tubs less and less full. We'll see how it goes this year.

Last year, we ran the fundraiser for two weeks and made almost $8000.00 for the school. I believe we sold almost $19,000 total.

Wow, thats great! How long do you run this type of fundraiser and how many students do you have that raised $4,000 (if you dont mind me asking).

Our return was 40%, but the name definately sells itself. This was one of those last minute fundraisers we did and earned over $4000 doing it.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
