To the person who wanted tips on running a silent auction, I want to HIGHLY RECOMMEND the following book. I checked it out from the library.

Title: The auction book : a comprehensive fundraising resource for nonprofit organizations / Betsy Beatty and Libby Kirkpatrick.
Publisher Denver, Colo. : Auction Press, c1984.
This book leaves out no details. Although it was written in 1984 all the same rules still apply. This spring will be my 4th silent auction and each year I increase our net profits by $5k.
