We never saw a rep from KidStuff like we do with Entertainment. Entertainment also gave us a bunch of free books and gave all the teachers and staff free books and they personally came in and picked up all the left over books. They did not even count them and could have cared less about any missing or damaged books which made them a charm to work with.

With KidStuff we packed them up and they sent us labels to ship the left over books back to them. The problem we had was that 7 months after the stuff was sent back they were contacting us by phone and via mail asking us what we # we sold, what # were damaged, How many we gave away.. ( they give a free book to each person who sells 5 or more books). Had they asked us at the time we certainly could have given them those #'s. But because it was 7 months after the fact the chairperson no longer had these #'s and honestly could not tell them at that point and they were annoyed. We basically were just confused as to why this information was so important 7 months later and not at the time.

As I said we did sell maybe 30 more Kid Stuff books then Entertainment because parents are more likely to go for the kids places then looking for fine dining and the things Entertainment offers. The grandparents and teachers were more interested in the Entertainment books.

Lots of groups sell Entertainment books here as well but we still sold alot of them because the parents and friends and family were buying them from us instead of elsewhere. The trick is also to sell the books right away at the beginning of the year so people do not buy them elsewhere first.

Ultimately Selling KidStuff was fine and did well we just did not want to do 2 books again this year and wanted to settle on one book. It seems Entertainment got wise this year as to the competition from KidStuff and so they have now added a lot of the stuff KidStuff offers as well as the fine dining and all their regular stuff. Plus having a hands on rep worked better for us so we have made the decision just to go the Entertainment Route, however I think KidStuff is fine and that you can do well with it if you decide to do it. Ultimately the bottom line is you have nothing to lose...you sell what you sell and return the rest.

they are new to the area and we do have entertaintment books already in the area, the entertainment books don't do so well anymore. so we thought a new book might do better. maybe wishful thinking. are they as good as they sound though? with the damaged books, etc.

We have done both KidStuff and Entertainment Books
(Both at the same time) we sold a lot of both books. We did sell a few more KidStuff then Entertainment books. However, we found Entertainment much more accomodating and easier to work with. This year Entertainment books have added much more Kid and Family related coupons and since they were better to work with and have added all this kid and family stuff we have decided to just go with them this year and nix the Kidstuff.
