We use Cartridges for Kids. I do not sort through the cartridges. I send in everything I recieve. It would take too much time to sort thru them all and pick out which ones didn't count. Time is valuable too. So I just kkep it simple. We might be losing a few bucks here or there but inventoring everything would take too long.

FYI We earn about $100 a month with a school of approx. 500 students.

Deanna York: Sorry that I missed your questions; we use 2 recycling companies because originally kashforkids did not accept cell phones and funding factory did. However, since both companies now accept ink jet, lasers, and cellphones, I juggle the 2 just to maximize the income. Sometimes one company pays more for a particular cartridge than the other.

Both companies provide you with letters and info to send out to parents and companies. I don't personally keep an inventory of what I send; I've never had any problems with either group, and they do send an itemized list along with your check.
We've been doing this for about 3 years. Hang in there, SHC, you'll start to recognize what cartridges are accepted by sight after a while.

Do you have a hard time figuring out exactly what you're looking at?? I look at those cartridges and those long lists and I have no idea which one it is! I had 3 boxes of cartridges and it was going to take me hours to figure it out....how do you do it?
