Middle School Carnival Ideas

18 years 1 month ago #81186 by CrewChief
We sold pizza at our carnival and it was a huge hit with the older students. We ordered large pizzas from Little Caesars for $5 each (cheap!!!) and sliced them ourselves into 8 slices. Even if you sell them for $1/slice, you make $3 profit per pizza.

I've seen "hair painting" on other posts for carnival ideas. I think that would be irresistable to the older boys. I'm going to suggest it to our carnival committee. I think they're talking about that spray stuff you can buy at halloween time in all the crazy colors. Your school colors or local pro team colors would probably be big sellers!

I've never done a fun night for middle schoolers (just elem.) but I'm more than happy to offer you ideas.
wheelbarrow races, three legged race, potato sack sack race, any type of a relay race, balloon stomp (first one to pop balloon by sitting on it wins), plunger race (use scoot boards and plungers) I've heard of middle schools using sumo wrestling suits, monkey bikes, scavenger hunt.... If you'd like and I can email all my info to you like games, volunteer letters, schedules, flyer...

Hello all; I have a question. If your Middle/ Jr. High school has had a carnival, what events did you have?

We are currently planning a carnival for our middle schoolers and I would be very curious to know what others have done.

We have some inflatable items, like a 60' obstacle course, big slide, jump house, typical carnival games (even though those are more elementary)and food hot dogs, chips, pop, popcorn. We also have some high-schoolers doing face-painting and the fire department is going to be doing boating awareness and selling life vests. My concern is that some of the items seem more suited for a younger group.

I realize that this is our first carnival and that we will be learning what worked and what didn't to make for a better carnival next year, but I would be grateful for some more options.

Thanks,
DJ
