Brochure Sales

You pay a company for a reason :) Have you thought about unsold items? Returns? Making someone buy something they may not want just so their child can get a prize. I know brochure sales are tiring but if its working and your sales arent declining more than 10%, stick with it. There are companies with candle out there, you cut out the variety and then you cut out alot of your population.

My son's school, of about 550 kids(K-4),does a brochure sale every year. We make a great profit every year (about 24k this year). The problem is everyone is burnt out on brochure sales. The problem on top of that problem is that this is our biggest money maker so we can't just drop it without finding something to replace it. We have been thinking (and only for a week lol) about doing one next year but on our terms. Instead of going through a company we've thought maybe we could make candles (remember we are still just thinking heheheh) and sell them, possibly adding on some other items who knows. We are guessing we won't pull as much as 24k but are working on that at the moment to see if it we could do something about it. For the incentive for selling program we've thought of things like eating lunch with teachers/principal. Extra recess and what not. Our teachers and principal like the idea and are willing to help us out with the incentive program. I was wondering if anyone has ever done anything like this and what they thought.....thanks!
