I'm the coordinator this year for the BOx Tops and never thought of looking to see who spent what etc. Like ckmmom said, our checks come twice a year and everything is in one check. When I have had an issue, their customer service people have been very helpful and great to work with.
As far as stores that participate, I was surpised to see how many! AND they don't have to use the Box Top Visa card to shop, that's just an added bonus! Unlike Target Visa, you have to shop at Target and use your Target Visa to get the 5% (something like that) back.
Checks from boxtops come twice a year. All money from their 3 programs come in one check. They have always been consistent with the delivery of their checks. I'm not sure if the coordinator is able to see who, how much etc is shopping at the Marketplace like the schoolpop website. I will ask our coordinator and post a message here when I find out.
I checked out the Box Tops forum for coordinators since my last post and discovered that many on that forum are not happy with the way Box Tops handles the online shopping and VISA reporting. Evidently not enough info provided and hard to trace and correct rebates to individuals.
Is there another program out there that has the online shopping rebates and VISA rebates for schools that works?
I am in the process of comparing Schoolpop's Online Shopping rebate program and VISA to what is offered by Box Tops for Education. Anyone have any experience? My call to Box Tops was a bit frustrating. I am concerned at the length of time that it is taking for Schoolpop to work out the bankruptcy, reporting, and payment issues.
1. Schoolpop provides online rebate reports by supporter (currently not accurate)for the coordinator or Champion. Does Box Tops provide the same thing or are the dollar amounts lumped together?
2. Schoolpop also provides reports by VISA holder (currently not accurate) for the coordinator or Champion. Does Box Tops provide the same thing or are they also lumped together?
3. Have the Box Tops shopping and VISA rebates always been paid on time?
I am seriously considering switching and feel the Box Tops name recognition might make it an easy 'sell'. Box Tops appears to have fewer online stores participating.
