I have to say, I don't know what I would do without this board and all of you out there!
Thank you to everyone who responded. I feel better now. =) I am going to start making my flyer right away!

You may also want to contact party planning vendors they are always wanting to do booths and will usually gladly spend the mony. i.e. avon, longaberger, pampered chef, tupperware etc.

Don't forget to mention that you are in need of craft venders in a flyer via backpack mail. It might surprise you on how many crafters you have in your own school, or know of crafters who would be interested.

Hang fliers looking for crafters in your local Michael's & Hobby Lobby (or whatever crafts supply stores are near you), Lowe's, Home Depot, Garden Ridge, paint stores, fabric stores, etc. The stores usually will let you do this (the stores may even be interested in sponsoring your event, or making a door prize donation).

ALSO: put notices in neighborhood newsletters and church bulletins in your surrounding areas.

Recruiting at other craft shows is a great idea! I chaired a charity show for many years and sometimes people showed up with junk, so being able to see exactly what they do is a plus. Are there any stores there that sell crafts on commission? In Houston they had a store made up of different crafters, but the store sold their things for a %. Go to antique stores, ceramic shops, even local craft stores will sometimes have business cards of people who buy their supplies there. I was member of a MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group and 50% of our members had at home businesses...jewelry, sewing, etc. Churches are a great resource. Make sure you start recruiting early as many crafters plan their shows in advance. Good luck!

I would try visiting some other craft shows and getting business cards of the vendors that you like - or maybe even recruiting them right then.

Good luck on a great show
