Scrip Advantage Question

I posted a reply to your question under SA files BK. Here it is:

I shut SA down from withdrawing any more funds from our account. I then immediately signed up with Great Lakes and ordered what I needed from them to fill outstanding orders and have the popular stuff on hand. This saved our Christmas since Great Lakes is sooooo much better than SA, NSC or School Pop ever were. The Scrip account has taken the $2000 loss for now and we are trying to recoup it. Because of the increased selection with GL we had profits over the holiday that tripled over last year. There is a silver lining! Hope this helped.

We are an elementary school in Southern California affected by Scrip Advantage's (SA)poor business practices. At this point, the likelihood of ever seeing a dime from them is looking pretty bleak. How are you handling this financial loss with the participating parents? Did you secure extra bond insurance to cover a situation such as this? Because I did not execute the contract with SA, I am not certain as to the authorization allowing SA to withdraw funds from our bank account without sending product. Web-based companies cannot charge a customer until an item is shipped. Wouldn't this be the same? Unfortunately, I doubt we could ever recoup anything at this point since SA intends to file bankruptcy, but I am just trying to look at as many different avenues as possible.

Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!
