Craft Shows

Our show is 11/22. This will the 2nd I have done but our school has done this event for about 10 - 15 years.

Last year we had about 25 booths (they could pick between 5x10'=$25 OR 10x10'=$40) with a combination of crafters and party reps.

We did pictures with Santa. We have a fireman Dad that was able to get one of the small fire engines and a Mom who brought her digital camera. They were great pictures.

We do the food simply to accomodate the volunteers and vendors who are there ALL day. Last year we did spaghetti, salad and roll for $2 and this year I am doing soup and salad lunch.

We also do a small bake sale. This year we will include it in our Candy Cane Cafe where you will be able to purchase donuts, muffins, coffee, juice for breakfast, individual bake sale items to snack on and lunch.

I also try to have a small area for the kids where they can watch a movie, color or do a puzzle. All of which is free. Just a courtesy.

I did a drawing for the vendors and the winner won a free 5x10 space for the next year.

They also donate an item for door prizes and this year we are adding a raffle. We have some amusement park tickets, ski lift, etc... that I will put into a basket with some other goodies.

There are some other things I would like to try but don't have enough helpers: poinsettias, gift wrapping, etc...

Our parent club also sells Scrip and t-shirts.

Sorry I went on for so long...........this is one of my favorite events.

Wow. We have sold 50 booths for $45.00 each. 10x10 space. We have makde $2100 off just the booths so far. We eliminated food this year because it wasn't much of a money maker.

Our show is next week. I'll keep you posted.

We just had a craft/vendor show last week. We had 30 craft/vendor tables (which is the max for the size room we had). We charged $20/table, $23 if you wanted electric and asked each table to donate an item of at least $10 for a chinese auction. We also served lunch and had a 50/50 auction. We made about $1,000. Wish it was more, but that's always the case. Keep looking through old posts, I received a lot of good advice on this site.

Just wondering how many of you do craft shows at your schools? We're having our 3rd annual this year. Just looking for new ideas, etc.
