Our middle school did something new this year. Instead of the regular dance, they had a festival of sorts. They had a dance in the cafeteria, sports in the gym and a movie in the band room. They did it during school hours, so all students could attend. It was $2.00 for the activity (you choose 1 and stayed there) and they sold refreshments, candy, etc that were donated. It turned out great and the kids loved it. As a parent, I appreciated that all students got to participate (except those who had suspensions.)
Edited to add: I just found out that we made $1600.00! WOW!
This is my first year at the middle school level. I need many ideas on what to do for their spirit festival. Apparently last years games were considered "lame". The only good part was the DJ. Please help!
