Sounds like a fun event! We have lots of carnival ideas in PTO Today articles as well as on our Pinterest pages. Thinking some of the carnival ideas could be adapted for your summer theme. For example, in our Classic Carnival Activities article, we include a cake walk. You could adapt that to summer with a summer treat like ice cream or frozen fruit pops. Also, we mention a scavenger hunt in that article. You could try that with an under-the-sea theme.
We are suspending our traditional Spring Carnival and replacing it with a Welcome to Summer Fair....I really want to create a whole new event vs. our normal Spring Carnival where we have a couple inflatables and some home-grown carnival games and face painting.
So I'm here now looking for ideas...super fun...super funny...anything that would be enjoyable for elementary aged kids (and their parents). Big or small...I'm starting from scratch so ALL ideas are appreciated!!
