We just held our first Basket Raffle on 3/15. We netted about $2500, and that was after purchasing a few large items (including an iPod touch) as grand prizes and paying for supplies and refreshments.

Our families and faculty had SO much fun- it was definitely a worthwhile event that we'll host again year to year!
