Our PTO has held a walkathon for the past couple years now but feel that there are some changes that need to be made. I have visited other school web sites and see that their event is very successful. We make a good profit but nothing compared to what i have see in other schools. I am just looking for some information from other schools that hold walkathons.
How do you keep track of how many laps a student completes?
What type of prizes/incentives do you offer to participants?
How do you get so many sponsors from your community?
How do you set up a site for online donations? (Our PTO does not have a website)

Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!
