Our school did the Macy's Shop for a Cause last year and plan on doing it again this year. It takes minimal effort but we didn't make nearly as much $$ as we thought we could. Our school has 240 children and we only sold 60 coupons.....maybe better this year.

We hosted before--- it's worked out ok-- you pre-sell the tickets for 5.00 and you keep the 5.00 per ticket-- you promote and let the store know how many tickets you sell---

Our problem is - they do it before school starts so we don't get as much of a chance to sell to many adults---

Anyone doing this/done it before? Seems low risk, not too much effort.

On Saturday, August 27, 2011, Macy’s will host its 6th annual Shop for a Cause benefiting charities nationwide.

Non-profit organizations with a 501(c) or 170(c)1 tax exempt status, school booster groups and religious organizations are eligible to be part of our fun and effective way to raise funds and awareness for your cause.

How Does My Organization Benefit?
All participating non-profit organizations check out special shopping passes and sell them for $5 each. You keep 100% of the proceeds.

How Does the Customer Benefit?
When your guests Shop for a Cause on Saturday, August 27, 2011, they'll receive 25% off* on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, including designer brands you love, throughout the store. And, they will be eligible to win a $500 gift card, no purchase necessary.
