Pre sorting the cookie dough is nice if you do not have enough volunteers, BUT the companies are not doing this for free. Somewhere, there is a cost to this service. If a company charges $15 for a cookie dough item and gives your school 40% or $6.00 per item in profit, they can easily afford to prepack. I do know of some companies that charge an extra .30 to .50 an items to pack the orders, but why give the company $300-$500 or more to do something that is not that hard to do.
I just got the scoop about Innisbrook and their cookie dough program. They sell it calling it elite retreats and have a nice selection of pre portioned cookies as well as cheesecake, brownie bar things and some other frozen goodies. They are 40% profit and our rep said they could student pack it for us....woo hoo. I think that would be the hardest part about these cookie dough fundraisers is having to unpack and then sort and repack to get to the kids...never done one, so I'm guessing.
They actually do have cookie dough and gourmet snacks....I saw the green catalog with brown cookies on it calling it Elite REtreats but that's about it. They do have it...your rep must be new, or clueless!!
What happened w/Otis Spunkmeier? We've never done any cd program, just looking to see what is out there.
Was Innisbrook using Otis Spunkmyer cookie dough before? That would be a reason for getting a new program. Their web site is really stingy on information about their cookie dough program. No mention of price or how much the school pays for their cookie dough. Nor does their web sit even show the complete flier. It must be a secret!
