I do not understand the rules completely for selling ads for a PTO newsletter. I have read you cannot make a profit of more than $1000 without having to pay taxes. Does that mean after the cost of printing the newsletter?
Also if I asked businesses for "sponsorships" for the year and said I would thank them with their company logo ( not an ad) on the website and newsletters....would that be considers advertising money?
