Great ideas--- we do a Valentine- gram and a Halloween gram-- these both go to charity-- but maybe student council could do the sham- grams-- like the name--
Thanks

So I just put this out there for folks for next year. Our 5th grade does a fund raiser to leave something for the school. This year we did Sham Grams. Think Valentine's Day greeting on a shamrock. It was amazing. We sold cut out shamrocks with a small 4 leaf clover from oriental trading hot glued on them. The kids could come down and sign and send a shamgram for 50 cents for three for a dollar.

In three days we sold 1000 of the things. Teachers bought 25 at a pop for their classroom, kids came and love the idea. I suspect if we'd better advertised and spent a longer time working them we'd have made a ton more money. The clovers were cut out in the work room using the teacher's die cuts, the "coins" were donated and the rest was really just nug work. I suspect you could just as easily glue on those green and white mints for an even easier time.

We're delivering them to the teachers on Monday morning and they will distro as they see fit during the day (didn't want to disrupt things by having them there waiting).

So for next year of course but this really is a no brainer....they did candy grams using candy canes at Christmas last year and worked for 2 weeks and made over 1000 dollars. Might be great for some of our less advantaged schools (fiscally speaking).
