Thank you for your responses.

There is no charge for the seminar. We want to educate and inform. No advice is given.

Our company as well as the companies we work with are mentioned once during the presentation.

We talk about inflation, taxation and procrastination as well as how compounding interest can work for you and against you.

We talk about the programs that are available when it comes to planning for college and then pass out a questionnaire at the end of the presentation.

The attendees/parents let us know if they wish to be contacted.

As a thank you, at the time of the appointment, we give them a large coloring book - a guide to money and finance - designed for children in the 2nd grade - intermediate.

That's pretty much it!

Our goal is to take this to all elementary and intermediate schools and help prevent another generation from struggling and living from paycheck to paycheck.

The credit card companies have tons of money to run ads - wish we have the same.

Thank you so much for your input!

Probably a set of guidelines might be good to have developed.

Will your company name be mentioned overtly, only in response to a direct question or given in response to a question along with some of your competitors? Having answers to questions like this as part of a pitch to offer to make a presentation help avert suspision.

Also, suppose someone chooses to follow advise you offer, but things turn bad. Will there be liablity to anyone. Depending on the material given in the talk, it may border on things the governments may have chosen to regulate.

Depending on your presentation, It sounds like something a lot of people can use, Like reduce debt and save, but have it sheltered as much as possible when it come time to apply for financial assistance for college etc.

Hope this helps a little.

The topic might be a worthy one, but it's not a program we would pay for. The big problem is there are so many financial and investment advisors who are willing to offer such topics for free. It's hard to pick a specific one and, unless you know the person, be assured it won't be tied in to a sales pitch of some sort.

But I know many professionals in that field would sincerely offer talks as a way of giving back to the community, expecting nothing in return.

So - again - it depends...

Community Service Seminar was created by Love kids
My husband and I have put together a 30 minute seminar on how money works.
We have done presentations at clubs and organizations about saving for college or retirement by redirecting money that is currently being spent.
I am wondering if you think that this is a good idea and would be interested in having us or one of our associates speak at your school?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
