Make sure you start early with your donation letters... and if you can go in personally.
Movie theaters have been great this year--local art or museums-- you can get tickets free quite a bit-- we've had a harder time with the professional sports teams, but still try-- also try local restaurants -- they've been great as well.
Timing is the biggest thing. Start way earlier than you think necessary.

We are in the process of planning a fun-fair type of event and we are in need of donations from our community business and other major businesses. Has anyone done this before? Has anyone requested donations from hollywood stars before? What about sports teams? Please reply if you can help. We had big hopes for our donations this year and it seems our community help is falling short of our expectations. THANKS!!
