Thanks for the feedback - just out of curiosity, what night of the week did you find was most successful for this?

Our school held our first Ladies Night Out this past Nov. We had a large turn out! We included keroke (sorry about the spelling). It was a little slow but quickly became a hit with EVERYONE. The more the booze the better & funnier it was.

This is a great fundraiser idea.

Another organization that I belong to does this and they have contacted the local massage therapy school (the students need so much practice time to graduate) and brought the massage students in for chair massage and hand massage (they worked off the tips from the attendees).

I always wanted to have a "girls night out" concert. That would feature singer impersonators (Barbra, Patsy Kline, Cher, Madonna, Dianna, etc.) but I just couldn't find enough local talent in our area to put it together.

That way the guys could come, too!

We are considering doing some type of "Ladies Night Out" fundraiser and are wondering if anyone has ever done this type of thing, if it works, what we should look out for...ect...Our idea is basically that we would sell tickets for cheap ($5 or so) and then invite some of the local artisans and home-show people to have table where women could shop while having wine and cheese or desserts. Our thought is that we would ask the vendors to donate 20% of their sales that night to the PTO - that way, for example if someone typically makes 30% by selling jewelry, they'd still make 10% but they'd donate the rest. I was also thinking of setting it up so that there is only one of each company represented so we don't end up with 3 creative memories reps by just saying the first one to respond that agrees to the terms gets the spot.

If anyone has any experience with this type of fundraiser or any comments, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
