Not sure why you don't want to incorporate. If you look under the PTO vs. PTA section of the message boards, you will find some great info from other groups. Most, I think, choose to incorporate. You can also take a look at this link for more info: www.ptotoday.com/ptovpta.html
Our PtO is in the process of acquiring a 501c3 status. We do not want to incorporate. We have to register with the state of Ohio first, but if we file articles of incorporation, that states we are incorporated, does anyone know how we are to go about this. The IRS says we don't need to be incorporated but register our name, the state told me we have to incorporate (they are wrong).:confused:
