Holiday shop question

16 years 8 months ago #138923 by volunteermomo3
We are going with a different company this year. Fun Services of Mid America. They had free individaul gift bags in different sizes that include the "to/from" space right on the bag and then the shopping bags to put all their purchases in. Hope this goes good for the teachers who usually take out a couple hours to gift wrap and have to find parents who will come in and help.

Our vendor supplied us with bags that had a picture of a present on it. It also has a huge gift tag printed on it so the student can fill in the From and To names.
This way, the child simply places the item in the bag, rolls it up or ties it with ribbon and then addresses it. Easy gift wrap!

When the child checks out at the register, we simply place the correct number of bags in the shopping bag along with their items and they take it all home to "gift wrap".

We have been using the dollar store for a few years. I get the bags from Oriental Trading, they are $8.95 for 50, 17 inch bags. They have all different sizes and prices.

My question is where to find budget envelopes. I cannot remember shere I purchased them last year.

right now we go through a holiday company but i am new to the VP seat this year and would like to get our dollar store invloved to keep the money local I have been checking around for bags.
I have not been able to locate the same kind as our service but ULINE.com and NU-ERA.com are a few places to start.

Just an idea but we bought our own little brown and white bags and decorated them with stickers, christmas stamps, etc. Then two holes were punched at the top and tied together with ribbon. The kids love them and went quicker than wrapping... Plus we have about 10 to 12 parents to wrap...

We're getting ready for our holiday shop in December. Our school doesn't use a holiday shop company - we purchase items (1200 of them!) on our own at the dollar store and then mark them up to $1.50 to cover sales tax, wrapping paper and other supplies. It's always a big hit and runs smoothly. The only problem is the long line at the wrapping table, so we thought we would try to find some inexpensive gift bag/packages so the process went faster. I am not finding any good deals online - can anyone suggest a vendor? It seems like I have seen bags that were sort of like shipping envelopes, but with holiday themes.
