Maybe you could also incorporate a small ice cream social into the event. What kid wouldn't love a cone while waiting to play golf? It's something you could check into. We get our paper goods donated each year from a national grocery chain and we get our ice cream, toppings and cones donated from our local grocery store so it could be a low-cost idea. It gives them a snack while they are waiting, keeps them occupied and depending on where you live, it could keep them cool too!

Maybe you can go with the classic activities like playing jump rope, bubbles, balls, hula hoops, etc. All of those things can be purchased from the dollar store if your school doesn't already have them. That sounds like a really fun event.

Our school is holding a miniature golf tournament in May. We will have 2 9 hole courses, and a seperate "hole in 1" green. Because we have 700 students we have decided to split the day in 1/2. K-2 will golf in morning, & 3-5 in afternoon. The problem I am having is coming up with other activities for the kids to do while waiting to golf. I am sure we will have a jumping castle, and maybe a pretend driving range, but any other ideas???
