Here is a link to a site that provides some useful tools for parents –
www.schoolparent.net . They have useful online school directory and sign-up
sheet features for fundraising. See the success story link at the bottom of the page on their site. You can request an invitation from their site if you want to
join. Security and Member schools links are also useful.

I work with a program that has an oline componant, it handles all of the items and registarion etc for our party. The company is MaesoWeb.
Online auctions can be sucsessful BUT you have to get the word out to everyone!
you have to have someone or a group of someone managing the content that will be seen on the web because it represents your school.

We're going to try an online fundraiser. Our parents have also indicated that we'd all like to have a couple of "major" fundraisers during the school year vs. twenty of them constantly ongoing. We created an online one to see if it can work -- people donate cash and post a picture and a website. People can use it as an opportunity to place a link to their business, favorite website, etc. We can send the link to grandparents in other states and they can post, etc. Possible cheesy but the goal is funds and giving them a small something for the donation!

We're also developing a "product" this year. We'll sell our product with the proceeds benefitting PTO. We're trying to change the nature of our PTO to one of a small business. Work smarter and get more inflow. It has worked fantastically so far this year and our parents are catching on.
