we charge 35/50/100$$ for 1/4, 1/2, full page ad, and only allow school families to adverttise. it pays for the entire production of the directory. every family gets one free.

In my daughter's high school year book, they had ads for local hoagie and pizza shops, bakeries, and photo studios. Hope this helps.

We charge $3 for biz card size, $5 for 1/2 page and $10 for full page (5x7). This year, we have about 20 ads, mostly biz cards. Only businesses of parents can advertise. No back cover.
I think it is well worth it.

Our PTO creates a directory at the beginning of the year that we give to all the parents. We are thinking of including advertising next year to help cover the printing cost. We have about 350 families in our school. I have a couple of questions for anyone who has done this before:

1. How much do you charge/what size ads do you take?
2. Do you charge more for the back cover?
3. Who do you find to be the best businesses to approach for ads?
4. Anything else we should know

Thanks for your help!!!
