Our middle school is a PTO. They are very active. This next year will be my first year in the PTO. Up tell now I have been part of elementry, and high school groups ( both PTA & PTO & booster).

If I can help I would love to

Below is a link for a middle school with a very active PTSA:

This is not in my city, but my sister's children went here and she was very involved in their PTSA. This is a fairly large (1,200) school and I understand their board is made up of 100 members. This is how they get people involved--everyone is on their board! The "catch" is that this is a magnet school so there is a high concentration of very involved parents there.

In our middle school there is no pto. Each grade fund raisers on their own. Each grade holds 4 a yr. plus booster clubs are fund raising, too. So our m.s. doesn't want a pto. Each m.s. is different, talk to the principal & then the staff to see if they are interested in one. You are right, most parents aren't interested in pto after the elem. Good luck!!!!

Does anyone out there have a PTSO at their middle school? Our middle school is from 6th-8th grade and by the time kids are in middle school most parents are burnt out. Anyone have any success in the middle schools?

Thanks
