PTO offers many challenges to PTA. If you have any advice to schools that are not currently happy with their present standing, please advise. We have seen PTA become a political tool, ie. school vouchers. Schools would like to see higher memberships and stronger voices for our kids!

we have in our elementary school some of the nastiest parents who love to cause trouble among the pta board. so many of us are fed up. we are joking around with the idea of starting a pto. can you have a pta on campus but start a pto off campus and do good things for the kids? so many of us loving parents want to continue to do good things for the kids without the pta tag. I am actually very dissapointed in the support from our counci pta. anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks
