Emails and websites and then fliers home. Maybe a flier on yellow paper that lists what you've done to date to really draw their attention. Also--talk about it at open houses, at functions you put on...I even put together a powerpoint slide that I played during the talent show. So all sorts of options really...
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas/suggestions on how to inform parents where the PTO money goes. We are a very active parochial school and have several fundraisers. Parents always ask where the money goes. I guess sometimes they forget to read the newsletters although we do not include every item we pay for in the newsletter. If anyone has any ideas on how to keep parents informed, please let me know. I know it is too much to ask them to attend a PTO meeting. We always have the same group at the meetings.
