Our pto group will be 4 years old starting this year, although i cannot complain about the people who always help and goes to the meetiings, but it is just the same 4 or 5 people and those are the ones that are on the pto board including myself, we have done a lot for our school and raised money to put in a rain/sun shelter for our bus riders. we hold 2 major functions throughout the school year, back to school night barbaque, and our open house dinner we get so much praise for the work on those fundraisers and all the little things we do throughout the year, but we just cannot stir up any more parents to join, tomorrow night we have a farmers market in our town and we are having a booth hopefully we can get parents to come over and see what we have done and they will take interest in helping with the group we are in desperate need of parents, the group now that we have does an excellent job getting the fundraisers up and going but it is just so much work to be done by 4 or 5 people, i would like to hear how other groups have gotten their parents to join, i am also thinking of joining another school that is only kindergarten and 1st grade.thank you sheryl c.
