Reading across the USA

Hi,
It does sound like fun. I know Paddle Tail would love to go...but he can't. Have fun. Here are some of the things that Paddle Tail -- the beaver born without a tail -- and I do.

Dear Sir/Madam:
I’m the author of the children’s book titled Paddle Tail (for ages 6/11)--the story about the adorable little beaver born without a tail, but Paddle Tail learns, and so will all children that it’s okay to be different. My books also deal with the timely issue of bullying. Paddle Tail--the main character of the book in costume--and I have been visiting libraries and schools, speaking to the students (K/8) and teachers. We have been well received by both. Paddle Tail and I would love to visit your students and faculty, to give the students the opportunity to meet with Paddle Tail--the special beaver who learns not to be afraid of life’s challenges--in person. I’d like to take this time to thank you for any time and consideration you choose to give to my assembly program.
Sincerely,
Henry J. LeGrand lll

(we convert minutes into miles)Along the way we are hoping to "visit" the schools along the way. We are hoping to have some pen pals as we approach each state/district. Our grade levels are K-5th. If anyone is intrested in participating please let me know by responding here or writting me directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
