Schoolmama1,
We live in Mount Vernon, WA and our school sent four of us to the Sacramento conference and it was worth every penny! We came away with a million new ideas-- and new enthusiasm for the work we do!
I keep voting for a conference to be in the Seattle area next year! Wouldn't that be great?

I just asked people to help out one on one.
I knew people that were CPA's/accountant and knew she would be able to slip right in without to much hassle. I asked a friend/mom/volunteer who is an administrative assistant to be my secretary. She loves it! She knows it and cannot get to school during the day due to her work schedule.
I asked a new first grade mom that I met to do the fundraising area. She is full of energy and is a go getter'. Just ask and keep asking. Pump them up and tell them you know they can do it!
Good luck.. keep the hope.

I know how you feel in the fall I will be the President! I just went to the PTO Today seminar in Nashville and I am so exstatic to work with new moms and the old ones that are tired of the current officers.

Have you talked with friends and/or other parents who you see around school? Your enthusiam can rub off if you talk with people one on one. Tell them what you envision for the future of the group and ask them what they want to see. Then just come out and ask them if they would work with you to make those visions become reality.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
