Painting murals at school

18 years 11 months ago #73313 by kelleyraek
We have a ocean mural in the first grade wing, "welcome" in a million different languages in our front entry, and various, kid-designed scenes outside on the playground.

This year, we'll be "commisioning" one of our moms ( a VERY Talented painter) to do a jungle mural for our It's A Jungle In Here! Carnival. We'll reveal the new mural during the carnival!

Personally, I LOVE murals... can't have too many!

The hallway by our art room is painted with a prehistoric scene. Cavemen...dinosuars...dino eggs...you name it. I'm not sure how the theme was picked but our art club is the one who did the sketching and painting.

Maybe your art teacher could help with a theme???

Not sure where to post this....Our school is in the process of painting murals in the halls. It is looking great!! We are also going to paint in the lunchroom. We are looking to do scenes for each season. I was wondering if your schools have murals and could you share pictures or ideas. Thanks!
