I like the idea of each student receiving a welcome back gift. We also give our staff a welcome back basket but this year I am at a wall trying to figure what to put in to it. So far I have hand cleaner. You wouldn't want hand cleaner as a gift right? Got any ideas???? We have a budget of around $6.00 per staff member.

Were do you find these types of items at low cost?

We are trying to think of something to do for the students on the first day of school also. We are a K-8 school with roughly 75 students. I was thinking pencils with the school name on them but I didn't know how that would to across with the older ones. The school has never done anything like this before so I don't have anything to go off of.

Thank you for the replies. We decided to go with zipper pulls instead of pencils. We have 3 packs of 24 pencils on our school supply lists for each student already. It's Elementary is where we are buying from if anyone is interested.

We hand out pencils with our name on them to all of the students on the first day of school. It's useful and it promotes our PTO.
