Ours is just a couple of days before the start of school. It's really just for parents/students that are new to the school and held in the afternoon. (Open house is later in the school year.)
With my Principal's blessing, I have some informatial tables that will be set up with pamphlets of non-profit organizations aimed at students. My thoughts are our Parks and Rec. dept, football leagues, baseball/Tball leagues, public library, Boys & Girls Club, MADD Dads, PTO info. school info, Title 1 info, Etc.
