need parents opinion of "good education"

I have bypassed this one several times not wanting to come off as an idiot. LOL But what the heck - every little bits helps so...
Lets see a good education---To teach beyond the basics in every subject. To be successful the school and teachers must work hand in hand with the students, parents and community to find ways to make learning fun and informative. I want my children to learn more than is needed but not so much that they feel they know it all. I want them to strive to learn more. Its hard to pinpoint exactly what I want them to learn because not only is that subjective but it would depend on the age too. I know I want them to learn more then I did - and I want my granddaughter to learn more then my own kids. Does that make sense?
I think the basis of a good education starts at home and then carries over to the teacher- if an educator (parent or school) has a love for learning and teaching then that will extend to my children too. Not exactly sure if this will help- hope it does at least a little. Good luck with your project!

Hello everyone!

I am an elementary ed. student at Northeastern University. One of my projects is to collect opinions from parents on what they consider to be good education for their children and what qualifies a school to be successful. I am collecting this anonymous data to debate your side in class. Any info would be very helpful.
thank you.
Sandy
